The Devonshire is Vispring's entry point into the hand-crafted range, built with a case entirely of British wool across three distinct layers that perform different roles from surface to core. The ticking is woven from wool and viscose, pairing softness against the skin with enhanced durability for decades of use. Beneath it, a layer of hand-teased Devonshire fleece wool provides immediate give, allowing air to move freely and moderating temperature through the night, while a deeper layer of British fleece wool adds depth and resilience to maintain a consistent surface over time.
The spring system features a single tier of 1,716 hand-nested, calico-pocketed Vanadium steel coils in a King size, each coil responding independently within its own pouch to weight. Vanadium steel maintains tension longer than standard carbon steel, a hallmark across the range. The Devonshire is available in Soft, Medium, Firm, and Extra Firm tensions, with King sizes that can be split for different partner preferences. Two rows of hand side-stitching reinforce the border coils to the edge, while hand-tufting with felt washers anchors fillings at regular intervals to prevent lateral shifting and preserve a smooth sleeping surface for years.
